JD Thai

The food is very reasonably priced, portion sizes are of an average size and the taste is outstanding. Coconut rice is the bomb. Red curry has great spice to it. GOTO Thai restaurant on the peninsula.

We have tried Thai in numerous places on the East and West coast and this is the best Thai. We can find nothing to match it. The laksa and sweet and sour dishes are awesome, and the steamed dim sims are second to none. Staff are great, meals fresh and flavoursome. Good sizes and reasonable prices. Meals never fail to impress.

We've been to several Thai places in Brisbane and Gold Coast and this is the one we keep coming back to and comparing all the others against. It remains by far our favourite Thai restaurant (and one of our favourite restaurants overall). I went into JD Thai 🇹🇭 on Monday 13th Jan 2925, for the first time to see what they had their menu. I was after an authentic laab moo which was not on the menu. I spoke with the nice young Thai lady and they were able to cook this for me. It was one of the best laab moo’s I’ve ever eaten including when in Thailand. Thank you so much for cooking something for me that was not on your menu. I think more people would eat it if they knew about it . Once again thank you 🙏 so much.

The family and I went to JD Thai today for lunch and I have to say it was great an overall fantastic experience that you can take anyone from a family dining experience to going on a date with that special someone. I could have kept eating and eating. Food was promptly brought out did not have to wait too long even though they were busy. The only downside to my experience was we ordered 2 steamed rices and they did not have enough and after the fact that we ordered it and then the chef came out and said they don't have enough steamed rice. They only had enough for one serving. If this is the case then we should not be charged if you the chef restaurant has to make the change not the customer fault after the fact because at the time of ordering we were not told there was not enough. What should have happened to keep all happy charge the fried rice as it was a forced change by the restruant charge it as steamed rice price. Beyond this misshap the entire experience was 👍 great we will be back.
