We've been to several Thai places in Brisbane and Gold Coast and this is the one we keep coming back to and comparing all the others against. It remains by far our favourite Thai restaurant (and one of our favourite restaurants overall). Best kept secret in North Brisbane. Although it has a small tight menu there is more than enough to keep you happy. The food was simply outstanding and at a decent price. Some of the best I have eaten.

The family and I went to JD Thai today for lunch and I have to say it was great an overall fantastic experience that you can take anyone from a family dining experience to going on a date with that special someone. I could have kept eating and eating. Food was promptly brought out did not have to wait too long even though they were busy. The only downside to my experience was we ordered 2 steamed rices and they did not have enough and after the fact that we ordered it and then the chef came out and said they don't have enough steamed rice. They only had enough for one serving. If this is the case then we should not be charged if you the chef restaurant has to make the change not the customer fault after the fact because at the time of ordering we were not told there was not enough. What should have happened to keep all happy charge the fried rice as it was a forced change by the restruant charge it as steamed rice price. Beyond this misshap the entire experience was 👍 great we will be back.

Duck Hokkein noodles are always perfect! Staff are friendly and helpful. Definitely worth the wait and always a go to for lunch at the markets.

A family business with welcoming vibes. The food was fantastic and reasonbly priced! Stir fry beef was super tender and flavourful. The Pad Thai was delicious, just a bit sweet, which was the kid's favourite. The fried rice was also super nice. They gave us hot water and taught some greetings and 'thank you" in Thai language. Highly recommend!
